The goal of our marine science summer program is to offer children (ages 6-14) a hands-on opportunity to learn about and explore our diverse marine habitats. Each program includes observation of live marine animals, a walk to a local beach and a craft or project to bring home.

2017 Summer Program

The 5-day camp gives children ages 6 to 14 the opportunity to learn about and explore local marine habitats, organisms, and Trinidad history.

All session run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Day in the Life of a Marine Biologist (for 13 to 14 years of age) has been cancelled for summer 2017

Classes are held in the “wet” classroom of HSU’s Marine Lab in Trinidad, and include games, crafts, and short field trips. Each session will also include a tide-pooling day where kids will explore local beaches and rocky intertidal zones.

The cost of attending an entire session is $195; single-day attendance is $50.
